In my last post, "Cooking Tips for That Thanksgiving Day Feast", I told you I had found a recipe for "Basic Cranberry Sauce". I have finished making it and here is what happened and what I did to it.
The recipe called for a 12 oz bag of fresh cranberries. I had a 16 oz bag of frozen. So I used them all and added an extra tablespoon of brown sugar. Then I added a extra 1/4 cup orange juice. At the end of the cooking, I added the grated rind from 1 orange (about 1 tablespoon).
Note: the juice of 1 1/2 oranges came to a little over 1/2 cup.
